Paul bowker
With over 30 years of dedicated service in and for local government, Paul Bowker has established a notable career in the fields of Planning, Transportation, and Regeneration. His extensive experience spans a variety of high-profile rail projects and physical developments, as well as public realm projects and mixed-use developments.
Throughout his career, Paul has played a transformative role in several transformative rail infrastructure projects, including HS1 (CTRL), Crossrail, and DLR extensions across East London. His efforts have been instrumental in driving regeneration and development, leveraging improved rail infrastructure and connectivity to benefit local communities.
One of his notable achievements includes his involvement in the planning and development of the Stratford Rail Lands, which later evolved into Stratford City and the Olympic Village. His work also extended to the revitalization of Stratford Town Centre, the Lower Lea Valley, and the Royal Docks.
In his current role at Hackney, He has been engaged in various significant projects and worked on transport interactions with the Olympic Park. Additionally, he has briefed members on a range of transport-related issues, including Crossrail 2, and has progressed reviews of the Stoke Newington Gyratory and Seven Sisters Road. His collaboration with TFL over the Old Street roundabout further highlights his commitment to improving urban transport infrastructure.
As an experienced project manager, He also successfully led the design phase of the High St 2012 project along Stratford High Street. His specialties include Planning, Transport Planning and Physical Regeneration, Project Management, and the integration of Land Use and Transport.
His leadership and extensive expertise continue to drive innovation and sustainable growth in urban development, making him a key figure in the ongoing transformation of our cities.
